I have a desktop computer running Windows XP SP2. Recently purchased a new HP printer from Newegg through (deleted by mod) online deal. Whenever I try Add Printer Wizard to add a printer, I get an error message which says "Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running". I don't know much about computers, so I need your help me to fix this problem.

You need this service as it is call to be running (Automatic setting) something out / gone wrong
Start
Run --- type services.msc /s
Scan down to Print Spooler
Right click
Click on Start
you need to make it automatic and remote procedure call also needed.for better Computer support with printer you just need to follow these steps to make your settings automatic:
Admin tools>services>print spooler right click on it and
select properties set to automatic.
