I have 123 pages of songs, not in alpha order, I would like to sort my TOC by song title keeping the pages they are on. Is there a simple way to do that?

Hi,
I don't think you can change the sort order for a TOC. By default this is sorted by page number.
But you can create an Index instead of a TOC, since the index sorts alphabetically. First you must mark each of your song titles as an index entry. Highlight the whole song title and then press Alt-Shift-X. This will create a hidden index mark, which you can see when you show formatting marks. Here you can also edit how the index entry will look, for example if your song title is "The Heat is on in Saigon" you could have it show in the index as "Heat is on in Saigon, The", if you prefer to ignore the "The" in the song title. (now does THAT sentence sound awkward, or what?!)
Anyway, after you've marked all your song titles as index entries, go to the top of your document where you want your alphabetical song list to appear. Click Insert - Reference - Index and Tables, and on the Index tab customize how your index should look, e.g. 1 column, page numbers right aligned, etc.
You can also read up on the whole indexing thing in the Word Help files.

At Excelforum, you can say "Thank you!" by clicking theicon below the post.
Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
Thanks so much, I'll try this.
