Post Copying photos into a text document and keep them in place

I am merging individual text files with embedded photos in Word 2007 into one bigger document and have problems with photos and text jumping all over the place in the target document. What basic mistakes do I make and how can I avoid them. Any literature recommended (I tried the Word Help and did not get anywhere).

Thank you,
Manfred

Format the positions as In line with text.

Cool Re: Copying photos into a text document and keep them in place

Hi Manfred
There are so many ways to approach this. What I suggest is to insert tables, this way you can separate text from pictures. You can hide the table so they are not visible

Just use text wrapping options from format picture tool bar for your desired results.

I think it would not be a suitable solution to the problem. Wraping options would do good
