Hi everyone.
I have a document which table of contents looks like this:
1
2
2.1.
2.2.
1.1.1.
3.
3.1.
1.1.2.
the problem is that heading 3 seems to not recognize its superiors.
i have no clue when it happened and since then i fiddled around in the document a lot. i reset the document quick styles but it did not help.
i attached two screencaputeres which I think show the problem:
wrong: from the actual document
right: from a blank test document
in the level menu it should state 'heading 1' and 'heading 2' behind the upper levels (for heading 2 it does). i have however no clue how to solve it. the summarizing text is the same for the working and non working document:
thank you for any answer!Font: (Default) +Headings, Bold, Font color: Accent 1, Indent: Left: 1,27 cm, Hanging: 0,89 cm, Space Before: 10 pt, After: 0 pt, Keep with next, Keep lines together, Level 3, Outline numbered + Level: 3 + Numbering Style: 1, 2, 3, … + Start at: 1 + Alignment: Left + Aligned at: 1,27 cm + Indent at: 2,16 cm, Style: Linked, Hide until used, Quick Style, Priority: 10, Based on: Normal, Following style: Normal
if you need more info please let me know.

is it really impossible, an unknown bug or did I just explain insuffieciently?
Hello merikilpikonna,
could very well be that the document is corrupt. You could try this:
Save the document as a web page.
Close the document
Close Word
Open Word
Open the html version of the document
Save as a word document (may be with a different name)
See if that makes a difference.

Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
A corrupt document, eh?
Sounds bad. Converting it to HTML and back did not solve the problem.
I guess it is all about creating a new document with correct headers and copy paste the content![]()
Sorry it didn't work for you in this case. It was the best I can offer. Maybe someone else has a better idea.
cheers
