I am using a Beta version of Word 2010 but can't find an option to activate the UNDO button?

No need to find the button. Press Ctrl+Z is the same result (Hold Ctrl, press Z)
The Undo/Redo icons are not in any of the ribbons in XL 2010. If you want them, you need to create a custom group in a ribbon and add them there, or simply put them into the QAT.
1. Look in the Quick Access Toolbar. Should be able to find them there. The little arrow down arrow next to it will give u a list of actions you can undo.
2. Control+Z is also a shortcut
