I used a table to create my resume in Word 2007. The lines of the table are hidden, but an annoying crosslike symbol appears at the top left of the hidden table. I guess you would call it the table's "handle". How do I hide this cross symbol? Thanks for your help.

Audere est facere
The answer is easy if you edit the title of your post to conform to forumn rules.
Hi florence,
The little mark is part of a picture. Click on the mark and delete the picture/shape and it will be gone.
Hi Marvin,
Thanks very much for your response, but I'm afraid the attachment that I uploaded earlier with a small capture of the symbol was confusing. I just uploaded a revised attachment which better illustrates my problem. The symbol is the handle for the table and if I press delete all the type in the table dissappears!
Because you have a table in the document the handle always shows when you are in the table. Try to convert the table to Text to remove the table format.
