    New, Delete, Edit Buttons

So Ive figured out 2 o f the 3 on my own but not sure if the last is possible... basically I have a table that only has 1 field so its a very simple table, then I am making a form to manage this table

On the form I have a listbox, which shows the field in said table, easy enough
I have a text box linked to the table... I have data entry enabled so this text box is empty

Then I have 3 buttons, I have it set so I can select one of the elements in my list box and delete that entry so thats my delete button
My next button I have set up so it saves a new entry, whatever is in the text box when I click save, it is saved to the table

My 3rd button is where I am clueless... I know I could always open another form and do it but Im curious if its possible to have it set up so somehow I could click an element in my list box then click edit and it would bring that element into my text box or even a popup box or something allowing me to fix a misspelled word or whatever...

If Its impossible its not really needed I just think it would be a nice lil option if possible.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

    Re: New, Delete, Edit Buttons

It's possible. If you click Edit, you would have code to load the value into the textbox, something like

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Then you would need to add another button, something like Save, that the user would click after editing the textbox. This button should invisible until the user selects Edit, and should be disabled until the user actually changes something. Your Save button would have code to save the value back to the table, plus regenerate the listbox. However, I can't give you that code because you haven't provided your existing code or any information about the table.

Is this just an exercise to learn controls and forms? Because it seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to just to edit entries in a table.
