    ODBC Access driver login failed

can not use "l"; file already in use

I have a Access macro set up to run automatically in the morning. It has a runapp portion at the end of the macro which starts my excel report pivot table refreshes, this macro runs in excel.

I am getting the error show at the top as soon as the first pivot table attempts to refresh. Both macros work fine by themselves. The one being in excel or the one in access.

But when the scheduled task runs again I get the message shown at the top.

    Please help.

    Thank you

Re: odbc access driver login failed

Hi the error indicates a connection problem between Access and Excel. ODBC is a method of connecting and you may have problems if the source files are moved and you have hard coded the path in your code or changes have been made to an ODBC file, which will be located under Control Panel ->Administrative Tools->Data Sources (ODBC).
