Updating Linked Table Database Location (Runtime)

Is there a way to program an .accde on open to check for the back end database to see if it exists. If it is no longer in that location, open a windows browser and allow you to point it to the new location, then have it update all the linked tables and remember the new location for it to check on the next start up. Application will be run in /runtime, therefore I can't just use the linked table manager to update it.

Let me sort of respond to my own question. I know it is possible, and I have tried to find information on it. However I find that I am not entirely sure what I should be looking for. I assume it is probably some form of API. Any advice on this would greatly help.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dan
