Certain table won't display styles

Dear someone

I have a table that won't display styles. If I create a table next to it, it displays styles with no problem.
I've spent considerable time trying to figure out why this table does not react when I select a style.
I've attached the document, if you could look at it and share a thought or two I'd be grateful.
