I am creating a form in Access at the moment. The structure of the form is based on 2 different tables.

Investigations
Notes

There are 257 records in the Investigations Table, and 357 records in the Notes table - as each investigation can have multiple notes.

I've added the notes table into the form as a subform - however, I was expecting to still only see the 257 applicable investigation records. Instead, I am being told there are 357 - the total of the notes table.

When I go through the table, I will see 3 instances for one investigation because that is how many notes are against it - but I would only like to see 1 instance, as the notes are already displayed in a subform for each investigation.

I'm not sure how to go about this - does anyone have any suggestions? I assumed that the form would only disply the Investigations records as thats the main source of my form.
