    I want to do the same thing in MS Access 2003. I have a attached a small database.

    It has a table called tblPRD. This contains the date of rate change.

    in tblSplit I have the two fields FromDate and ToDate.

    If the following is input..

    FromDate ToDate
    15-Jan-12 20-Apr-13

    The following output is required...

    15-Jan-12 07-Mar-12
    08-Mar-12 31-Oct-12
    01-Nov-12 06-Mar-13
    07-Mar-13 20-Apr-13


    If the following is input..

    10-Nov-11 06-Nov-13

    The following output is required...

    10-Nov-11 07-Mar-12
    08-Mar-12 31-Oct-12
    01-Nov-12 06-Mar-13
    07-Mar-13 06-Nov-13

    If the following is input..

    16-Mar-11 15-May-15

    The following output is required...

    Probably because you have not disclosed what should happen with output - shall be new records added to the same table, or shall new table be prepared?
