Filters blank and compact repair not working

Office 2010

I've got this DB on a network share at work and just recently I noticed one or two of the fields in the table columns filter doesn't have any data when I click on the dropdown. This is when in datasheet view. A couple of months ago we had 2010 installed and this DB is a 2007 version, however at the time never noticed any problems then.

I've also tried running compact and repair but it doesn't seem to do anything. Tried saving to local drive and doing it there to no avail.

Is this a common problem with access?
