Decimal numbers from Excel gets converted to integers

    Hello

I have an issue with importing from Excel to Access. For the test case I have created a table with one column which has two elements; 60% and 40%. When I import this table to Access, the numbers gets multiplied by 10, such that it becomes 600% and 400%. This also goes for decimal numbers. When I have 0.11 and 0.254 in the Excel table, the numbers gets converted to 11 and 254.

Perhaps it has something to do with Access just storing the numbers as integers, but I have tried to change the default number size in Options to Decimal og Double. It does not help.

I use Office 2016. Thanks in advance!

Re: Decimal numbers from Excel gets converted to integers

When I choose the first Excel option, to just import the data without the link, I get an option to choose which field type I want. But this doesn't change if I get decimals or not. The numbers are without decimals independent of what I choose.

In the second Excel import option, I don't get to specify the field type during the import wizard. When it is finished importing, the field type is Double.
