Importing query to Excel returns all data not my parameters

Hi,

I have built and excel workbook that has access queries loaded on to different tabs. The problem Im having with this is when I import my query to excel it returns all the data in the database. Any ideas how I can fix this and make it return only the data for this query? I have double checked access and the query is pulling correct when I look in access. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using the data tab in excel to get data from access.

maybe use PowerQuery and select data what you want to show

Where can I find a list of the functions that are not compatible with MS excel?

In the query design I set my parameters using these three functions Not Like, Like, and < Date (). Would any of these cause my data to import everything instead of the criteria listed?
