What are you trying to do? Are you trying to type the dates into a pivot table filter manually? Or are you trying to set the cell value of a filter using VBA.

Dates and pivot table filters are not easy to implement.

Based on my observations and experiments, Pivot table filters that look like dates are actually strings that look like dates. Furthermore, you must enter them in the format the pivot table is expecting. This is in contrast to the rest of Excel where a date is a number, regardless of how it is displayed.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

    Thanks
I am trying to add date in a table or form with input mask 99/99/9999 and data type data/time.
I cannot enter date in table as well as in a form based on the table. the problem begins when I install office 2013 otherwise it was ok and also very simple.

I don't seem to be able to duplicate the issue (I'm using 2016). I can input 01/02/2018 and it accepts it but it immediately goes to 1/2/2018 when I leave the field.

I am not too sure why you need the mask. Access stores dates as numbers internally. You can always display a date in any desired format at report time.

The mask isn't necessary at all if the field really IS of type Date. If you enter data in a valid date-like format, it will be translated as such. Further, it would appear that Access didn't like the date entered using that mask, so I would do without it.

Sorry for delay, I was busy .
Actually I will be using a form to add data and it was not working with or without input mask. I was just checking where is the error.

There is some fault in windows. I installed new copy of windows and it is ok now.
Thanks for your time and suggestion.

That suggests one of two things.

First chance - something to do with the regional settings for currency.

Second chance - something caused by oddball patch behavior to the system time services.

I'm betting on the first case rather than the second.
