Small value fetched as 0 instead of small value

    Hello,

I'm novice with Access specifically, but work with a few imported tables in excel... I think what i'm working with is all within excel.

Anyways i'm simply using the "Get Data" button and choosing "From workbook". No problem importing the tables i want. But i noticed a few numbers being thrown off and i traced it to a mismatch where on my original table i have a few small values such as 0.01 and 0.26 ... But when i refresh data, it pulls it in as 0 instead of the small value. Every other value is pulling correctly, and are also larger numbers. Example below:

    Original Table:

Clearly it's automatically rounding somewhere - but i can't figure out how to change how it rounds or remove the rounding altogether. And i don't think it just rounds anything... Seems like only if the value is less than 1.. i have many values that are between 5.0 and 50.0 that retain the fractions like 24.3453 without apparent rounding..

    Thoughts?

Open the table in Design View and for the field in question, change the format and decimal places. During import, Access will guess at the correct format and not surprisingly often gets it wrong. If it is formatted as a long integer, you will need to change it to probably a Double and then set the correct number of decimal places.
