Creating a lookup field in Microsoft Access issue

    Afternoon all

I am currently trying to create a lookup field in one of my tables.

I have 2 tables "Packages" and "Products", I also have the fields "ProductID" and "ProductName" in both tables

What i'm trying to do is when i select a "ProductID" from the drop down list in the "Packages" table i want the "ProductName" to auto populate with the data in the same field in the "Products" table.

But when i'm trying to do this using the "lookup wizard" the "ProductName" field isn't in the available fields list.

Does anyone know why this would be or how i can get around it?

    Thanks
    Dave

You should be doing your lookups in a Form and not the table. Look at this link as to why....

Here is a link on how to do a lookup in a form.
