So i have built a database of the 2019 NBA draftees and their raw stats. For what I want, it is almost complete. Its essentially consists of raw data from basketball-reference.com and other type of sites. Yesterday, I finished inputting a "google-like" drop-down combo box to search by player name. The combo box works great. as i am typing in a players name, the more i type, the smaller the drop down for names becomes, until eventually, i find the player that I am looking for and click it.
This issue is, is when i select the player, nothing happens. i need it to where once i select the name and press/click enter, it jumps me straight to the cell where the players name actually is. I have a column named "players". to the right of each player has all of their raw stats, so its just a matter of somehow telling excel that when you select a name from the drop down, or you completely disregard what is being shown in the drop down and you simply finish typing out the full name and hit enter, that it directs me to that players name in their associated cell, under the column listed as "player".
I wouldn't call myself a Noob, but this issue i have is troubling me to a fair degree. Here are some screenshots below that should give you a better idea as to what I am talking about.
