    Access conection

    Hi , I have a db in access and an excel workbook which has a connection to the db. The issue is when the excel file is open the access db will not open ,only as read only.

    Is there any way to get round this.

    Close the worksheet and then work in Access. This is a common issue. Have not found a work around--have noticed this being an issue for many years.
