What are possible causes for a "Operation must use an updateable query"?

    Hi everyone

I am trying to run an update query in MS Access and get the error you see above. I just don't get why, I searched the web and all I find is that it could be because I only have read-access but this is a database I started.

So here is what I have.

Table A needs to be updated with information found in Table B. Their join is set to where the joined fields from both tables are equal. (if I run this as a select query, it runs).

In the field sections I have a "definition" field with a criteria of "No", this field is from Table B. I also have a second field that is named "count" that is from Table A, in the update to area I have "[TableA]![Count]". I run the query and get the message stated above, can't figure out why.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?
