Automatically updating SQL query by changing date

    Hi guys,

Relative Excel noob (been using it for years but have only started using the advanced side of things recently) and am in need of help!

Basically we have a application logging system here, web based and uses SQL server to store all table information.

Basically what I'm looking to do is query the database for a list of data (application id's, who logged it etc) and display it on a pivot table. However the part I'm having difficulty in is the date. What I need is a box on the spread sheet that when you change the date in it, it will pull that query information for that range of days.

    Can anyone help?

    Would hugely appreciate any feedback.

    Many thanks,

    Brian

Concatenate the string with your Excel variable.

    Briefly:

    Date in Sheet1 Cell a1

So you have put the contents of the date into the SQL connection is made the SQL server will execute (if a1 contains 24/03/2009):

    Does this help?
