    Aggregate error

    Hi,

    When entering a criteria for field NVR/VR an aggregate error pops up. I've tried entering a criteria for the Vendor field and this gave no problems.

    How can I solve this error so the query can be run when a criteria is being entered for the NVR/VR field?

    In the attached JPG you will find an overview of the query as well as the error message. The Access database is also added for people who want to fiddle around.

    Thanks in advance for your assistance!

    Re: Aggregate error

    Initial thoughts and untested. Take the "VR" out of the query. Create a second query with the record source the first query. In the Criteria for the NVR/VR field, put "VR" Run the second query. Sometimes it is necessary to run queries based upon earlier queries. This is not unusual. Had a similar incident earlier in the week.

    Alan,

    I have tested your initial thought and can confirm it's working. I'm not so fond of creating extra query's though.

    Still on the lookout for a one query solution, if it's even possible that is.

    Tom;
    Probably not going to find it with a single query. But if set up properly, you will only have to run the second query as it will look to the first query automatically. It really becomes transparant.

    Good Luck
