How to make report for specific month but groups/areas for different years

I need help in how to have one report show items for a specified month (example: March) but have it in groups for each year needed (typically would be March 2012, March 2011 and March 2010). I know how to make a query for a specified month (example: March), but not for month and year.

I want to Thank all that help with this problem in advance.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook. Don't upload a picture when you have a workbook question. None of us is inclined to recreate your data. Upload the workbook and manually add an 'after' situation so that we can see what you expect. In addition clearly explain how you get the results..
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'.
To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.

On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'.
Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments.

You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page.
Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.

To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file.

To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page.
Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

I have created a dummy workbook in the same format as the original workbook. I hope this dummy workbook and example of what the report need to look like will help each of you to understand the goal that is trying to be achievedDummy Workbook.xlsx.

I have created a example of what the report should look like below for the month of March:

    March, 2012
    BI C MTS 19-Mar-12 06-Apr-12 90.00 54.62
    VL P MTS 21-Mar-12 26-Mar-12 94.00 7.62

    March, 2011
    DR C MTS 04-Mar-11 23-Mar-11 90.00 3.24
    IC P MTS 09-Mar-11 23-Mar-11 90.91 4.69

    March, 2010
    AC C BCS 09-Mar-10 23-Mar-10 90.00 9.60
    AA C BCS 16-Mar-10 06-Apr-10 81.82 7.46
    IC P MTS 26-Mar-10 13-Apr-10 90.00 0.14

Re: How to make report for specific month but groups/areas for different years

I have not ever used a Pivot Table before. I am trying to find out how to set one up.

But would I not still need a Pivot table for each year?

If yes, then how do I insert the Pivot Table(s) into a report?

I want to Thank You in advance for your help with this problem.
