    Read only database

    Hi,

I was wondering if any knows whether it is possible to hide the Create ribbion tab and Database Tools ribbion tab in Access 2007?

Or is it possible to customize the ribbon so all tabs are showing but only certain options in the ribbion tabs are available

    Thank you in advanced!

Click on the Windows Button in the upper left corner. Select Options. Current Database. Under Ribbons and Toolbars uncheck the three option boxes. In the Navigation Section uncheck the Display Navigation Pane. Move up to Display form and select the form that you wish the user to see upon opening the db. Close and Save. You will need to close and restart your db. Now if you need to get these visible again, you will need to open the database, by selecting it (highlighting) and holding down the Shift Key and the Enter Key at the same time. This you usually will not tell your users.
