    ACCESS query equations

I have a database that contains species, height and diameter for 1000's of trees. I need to create a query that calculates the volume of each tree using a different and complicated equation for each species. (there are approximately 8 different equations to use) I though about writing a complicated if/then statement but that has proven too burdensome. I'm sure I could do this with a of lookup table or script but I don't know where to start.

Thanks in advance for your help
    Jim.

    Re: ACCESS query equations

Suppose you give us the layout of your table. The expression that you wish to calculate and let us see if we can help. Without this minimum of information, there is not much we can offer you. Try to be as specific as possible. It is possible there may be a Query Solution and at least a VBA solution. The devil is in the details.
