Show values of bar when maximum bound is exceeded

Using Excel 2013 with this example table:

    bar value
    one 25
    two 75
    three 25
    four 135
    five 120
    six 155

I'm trying to make a bar graph but I have to choose a maximum bound lower than the highest value in the table. In this case the maximum bound is 150 and it seems like bar six is 150 when in fact it is 155. This is shown in the diagram.

I want to label any bar that exceeds the maximum bound. In this case, I would like Excel to automatically place text above bar six that shows it is 155 rather than 150. Is this possible?

Re: Show values of bar when maximum bound is exceeded

I don't think it will be very easy to display it above the bar.

When you set up the chart, there is a chart option for data labels which lets you choose series name, category name or value. If you choose value and then right click on one of the labels and choose format data labels you can pick the alignment/position.

The problem is, if you choose to display above the bar I think it will be cut off the same as the bar itself. Therefore you would need to display in/beside the bar to be able to see it.

    Hello
One way maybe as in the attached reply. Use a line chart on the secondary axis.

*Note doesn't have to be on the secondary axis.

DBY: Unfortunately this doesn't work because when the axis is bounded at 150, you cannot see those labels at all.

Yes, labels cannot be shown outside the chart area, so you'll have to allow the axis to go beyond 150. Is there a reason why you have to stop it at 150? You could insert a boundary line at the 150 mark, either manually or with another line series to indicate the boundary level.
