    Graph with drop down list

    Hello,

I have been able to build a graph using drop down lists that will graph the values of a given row. I would like to have a scatter graph that we can choose the x and y axis's with drop down lists that are referencing the columns. An example data set is below.

    ID age weight shoe
    1 5 45 3
    2 7 62 6
    3 4 39 2
    4 9 82 6
    5 8 63 7

In my current graph I have the ID column in the drop down list and it will graph the age, weight and shoe. I would like to be able to pick the x and y axis from age, weight and shoe and to be able to switch the axis's to be able to plot the locations where they would cross.

Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance!

Re: Graph with drop down list

scatter graph example.xlsxI have attached an example of what I am trying to accomplish. I am still not figuring out how to have the drop down list reference a row of information. I would like to have the drop downs in row 2 reference the cells in row 28. I have been able to build a drop down list to be able to pick from a column of information.

    Thank you

Re: Graph with drop down list

    Hi mma3824,

I created a similar graph (Line graph) that uses a SUMIF Formula on the source data & a drop down control changes the Formula which changes the chart source data & therefore the chart.

Have a look at the attached example to see if this is the logic you need to solve your problem.

Change the drop down at Cell 'E29' & the chart will change.

    Cheers
