how do I conditionally sum in a PIVOT table

    Hello,
I need to total of my column Year2013 when the CarType is X1.

    CarNo--CarType--Model--Amount
    --1------X1------V-----32132.22
    --2------X1------H-----3555.11
    --3------G5------B-----999.11
    --4------N3------J-----1112.33

I use a PIVOT table so I wonder if a SUMIF Amount when CarType = X1
wont mess up the sum when there are subtotals in the PIVOT.
What obviously works is writing lots of GETPIVOTDATA and selecting
the right ones but in my real data I have so many CarNo and Models
that the formula would not be maintainable.

So the question is how do I conditionally sum in a PIVOT table?

    Bye

Re: how do I conditionally sum in a PIVOT table

    Hi,
    Unfortunetaly I can't send a sample around.
    I tried the following:

    =SUMIFS(Pivot!J:J;Pivot!F:F;"2 Liability";Pivot!A:A;"31 INCOME")

The problem is that the data is, odly, only displayed when I actually filter the PIVOT down
to exactly those criteria. As soon as there is "more" data in the PIVOT then a 0 shows up.
