Several Pivot Tables from single source- design aid

I have a massive 190MB 400k+ row access database
(i took the data into access from excel since performance and file size was resulting in excel frequently crashing).

I have to create several reports from this table.

I want to know what is the best way to create several pivotable reports from a single source but keep file size at a minimum?

As of now, I read the raw data in Excel via external source in access and then copy the same pivot across 15 tabs and modify it along?

I read about Powerpivots, but is that more for creating pivots from multiple data sources?

Suggestions welcome.

You can create Pivot Tables using Access databases.

Insert Pivot Table
Then select "Use an external data source", the second radio button (instead of the default first one, "Select a table or range")
Then click the "Choose Connection" button that becomes available
"Browse for more" in the buttom left hand corner of the "Existing Connections" popup
Navigate to the file location of the MDB file & select it
Then select which table to use.

That's how you create a Pivot Table in an Excel file that pulls its data out of an Access database.
