pie chart with data labels

Hi All

I have a file with a small example of sales and % of sales for about 7 persons.

i wanted to insert a pie chart but want to show labels inside the pie chart along with % of sales
and the sales person name near each part

How to do this ? i have attached a file


Please let me know the steps involved.

Open the "Format Data Labels" for "Series 1", either by right-clicking on them in the chart, or in the ribbon, or whatever.

In the "Format Data Labels" popup:
Label Options:
Label Contains:
Check "Category Name", "Value", and "Percentage"

Label Position:
"Inside End" Radio Button (already selected in your posted chart)

At the bottom, change "Separator" to "(New Line)"

That should do what you want.

Is there a way where i can put the % sales in brackets with sales figures. Some thing like 3256(14.15%). Cos i feel 3256,14.15% or 3256.14.15% does not appear good on the pie chart.

But using suggested separator "(New Line)" will really insert data in

layout which is quite readible. If you want to stress it you can change formatting in your source (column C) into currency - will be even better visible
