    Pivot Table Filter Bug

I have a very large data set (approx. 120 columns by 49000 lines). I have created a report using pivot tables, pivot charts and slicers, however I am having issues with the filters I apply to the pivot tables.

In the pivot tables, I wish to filter out any 0 values, so that I am not counting them in my report. Filtering these out is simple enough, however anytime I close and open the file, the filters seem to be forgotten. When choosing a different slicer option (in my case a different company) the pivot table reduces to showing no data. Again this is an easy fix by simply dragging the row labels up to report filter and back down in the Field List, however, I don't want to have to do this every time the file is opened and closed again. Excel screen shot shows the working pivot table and slicer and excel screen shot 2 shows after opening and changing companies, the not working pivot table.

Is there some solution to this filtering issue?

    Thanks!

Can you process the data before you apply a pivot table to it to avoid the issue altogether?

No since I will want that data point for other charts. (Those pictures are not the actual report, just an example of the issue I am having)

Well posting photos doesnt help as i cant play with the data and see the problem and try to fix it for you so I will recommend you process the data or standardize it before you put it in a pivot table as that will 100% solve the issue.

    Example.xlsx

Here is an example of the problem I'm having (I can't post the actual data as it is confidential, and way too big). It appears that the issue arises only with letters and not with numbers.

    Any ideas?
