Managing data range

Hello, everybody.

I have a chart with some 250 series. I want to change the data range in all the series in the same way. I don't know how, since I am experiencing a situation I can't explain.

If I select chart in the image 'Chart two', I get the blue frame in the data range, which I can easily manipulate and effect all series by doing that.
If I select the other chart, the one in 'Chart one', the blue frame does not appear!

I think I found a clue. The data range was not in 'one piece', meaning there was a couple of columns in the meadle of the data range, that was not included in the chart. Removing that, the blue frame appears.

Does this make sense?
