Smile Pivot tables, organizing data, best way to organize.

    Hello guys,

I have a couple of questions. this is the task, I have a table of employees with employee badges with dates from multiple cities. The goal is to somehow pull out the badges for that city, or to pull out all the badges for that particular employee. so, that the badges won't expire. I created a sample of two version, i'll let you decide which way is better to manipulate the data. I would like to use pivot tables for this.

    SAMPLE.xlsx

    WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?.

    THANKS YOU.

    Hi israelalvarado,

You have 2 tables in your worksheet.

What is the relationship between the 2 (if any)?

Which one do you want to create the Pivot Table from?

    Thanks

Why not just stack them up and sort by date?

You could use conditional formatting to highlight cells that have dates occurring sooner than the next 30 (ort whatever) days. See http://www.contextures.com/xlCondFormat01.html
