Making a big data sytem into a table

Hi,
I have a big system of data, me not knowing better i have it such that the categories is listed in the start of the row, and new data for periods are listed in the columns following. when i mark the data and click table, it puts the scroll down thing on top of the columns, which is of no use to me at all, i need them at the start of the row. is this possible, or do i need to reorganize all the data, and VBA code used to sort and collect it ?

You need to reorganize your data. Select and copy the whole thing, Paste special - > Transpose vill flip the data for you.

alright so now its switched, and i have it sorted correctly. how do i make a dynamic chart, such that whenever new data is entered, it will automatically be updated on the graph? i saw another similar thread, but i think i need it in with a tea spoon, if anyone got the time.

Make a table of your data.

=> insert table

After that you can make a pivot chart of it.

It works and all, i right click a cell make a new name, and put the input as

this works and all, but it doesn't update my graph when i add new data for some reason, and then i cant find the cell where i made the new name again. and its like i didn't create the named range. Do any of you know what i'm doing wrong ?

Maybe you have to refresh the pivot table.

Otherwise show an excample of your file, without confidential information.

I gave up on using the Pivot thing, here is the essential parts of what im doing. on the data tab is where the data will go in, and where ill graph from. i want to make a dynamic chart that updates as new data enters.

With a macro to re-arange the data.

After that a pivot table.

After taht a pivot graph.
