I have a pivot table that is not pulling in the budget value from the table.

I have a table that I used to create a pivot.

All items are pulling through except for the budget data which is only showing "count" when I set the value to sum, it shows $0

Your budget data is text - you can tell because you can see the $ signs in the formula bar when you select one of the cells. If you replace those with nothing using the Find/Replace dialog, it will convert them to numbers, then you just refresh the pivot.

Actually, not quite that simple, you have some other odd characters at the end of the numbers. I've cleaned them up in this version.

Your budget values on Sheet1 are text, not numbers. How did you get this data into your Excel file? You have invisible characters, $, and "," in there that have to be removed.

EDIT: A day late and a dollar short.

Man, I appreciate you guys...I had converted it from text to currency, but didn't know about anything invisible in it....thank you!

Converting the cell format from Text to Currency does not change what is actually in the cell. Even though you changed the format, the data was still text.
