    Gantt scheduling chart issues

    Hello all.

I was able to find a gantt chart template to help me do some scheduling work. I attached a photo so you can get a visual of what I am trying to accomplish. Unfortunately I can't attach what I am working due to confidentiality issues.

So I have my worksheet setup for a week. Sunday-Saturday. I show hours like in the photo below but it extends past 24 obviously as I am scheduling for 7 days. What I am trying to accomplish is get more than one start/stop for each activity. We have more than 40 activities/tasks so I could do something like "running1" and in the next row "running2". Unfortunately if I was to do that I would have hundreds of rows because each activity is done multiple times in a day/week.

As of now my only solution I attempted was to add in a bunch more columns to show like | plan start 1| plan duration 1 | actual start 1 | actual duration 1 | plan start 2 | plan duration 2 | actual start 2 | actual duration 2 | and so on to around 20+. I was then able to get the conditional to allow multiple runs on each activity throughout the week. The problem is now I have a TON of extra columns to the left and can't even see my schedule.

Does anyone have any suggestions of an easier way to go about this? Worst case I could possibly send the file to someone but I would remove all the activities to show examples.

    Thanks all!

If you can't post your specific spreadsheet, can you please post the template you found?

It's not clear to me from your description + PNG how the chart works, so I can't really help you.

I've attached what I have been working on. I obviously changed the activity descriptions but it gives you a good reference as to what I am looking for as far as help. It works as far as what I want to do with the schedule portion I just figured there would be an easier way then having all those columns to the left. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

rgholmes08, I have been looking for something similar - but a vba solution. I posted a similar question on the MrExcel forum, but haven't heard anything back. However, I did find these instructions that might help you - hope so:

How to make a Gantt chart for repeated tasks

Youtube:How-to make a 24 Hour Time Worked Gantt Chart in Excel

everyone seems to answer this with modifying a stacked bar chart.
