Display months for which there are no data in pivot chart

I want to display a pivot chart with all months across the x axis, from jan to dec. However, there only are records for April, July and August, thus they are the only months on display. I want the other months as actual discrete points along the x-axis (and within the chart area, as spaces with no bars).

Is there a way to do this that isn't adding all the other months manually in the table? I have fixed so that the graph shows items with no data, but the problem is that the other months don't exist as actual items.

Yes, you can add the missing months into the pivot table data source with Nil values. This would ensure those months show up in the summary and in turn on the chart.
