Chart update with pasted data

I have a simple line chart plotting the data in A2:A21 like this: =SERIES(Stats!$A$1,,Stats!$A$2:$A$21,1). Currently only first 5 columns have data so plot line drops to bottom as expected. The problem I have is that when I paste additional data into the next column (either VBA or manually) the chart will not update to reflect the new values. The ONLY way I have been able to make it work is to manually enter each value.

Have you considered using Dynamic Named Ranges for your chart data?
