create more than one pivot table from the same data source

Is it possible to create more than one pivot table from the same data source? I am trying to create a document review quarterly cycle (four worksheets) with the source data coming from a Master List of documents. The pivot table is populated based on a field called 'quarter' that contains a formula that calculates which quarter the review would fall in from the 'last review date' entered in the Master list. The pivot table automatically refreshes from a vb script on Worksheet_SelectionChange in the Master List. I have tried a slicer on the four quarterly worksheets however I cannot get the slicer to default based on the worksheet that you are on. I would really like to have the four quarterly worksheets instead of one where they have to select which quarter they want to look at. Is this possible?

Yes, you can have multiple pivot tables based on the same data source. Just repeat the steps you used to create the first pivot table - or copy the worksheet containing your first pivot table, and amend as needed.

And yes, you can have separate slicers controlling each pivot table - view the slicers Pivot Table Connections to control which pivot tables are modified by each slicer.
