Hello, Can I please add to this query,
I have row laberls with 3 line managers
General Manager: showing his direct reports
Manager: (reports to GM) and also direct reports
Supervisor: (reports to manager) and also direct reports
problem is not all direct reports of GM are managers, so e.g
GM
(blank)
(Blank)
Staff
How do I get rid of blanks?
Use the drop down in that column and deselect [x] (blanks) as an option.
or
Put that field into the FILTER section at the top of the Pivot, then select all the other options except (blanks).

Option 1 doesnt work, despite being an option to untick Blanks, it doesnt work
Option 2 would work, but that means it will no longer display the entire category in the Row section
Let's see your workbook. Both options should be viable.
