    Basic Charting help needed

Hello, I was hoping someone might be able to help me figure out how to set up a basic function. What I am trying to do is supply a user with a set of options to choose from that once selected generate an account code number associated with it.

I know how to make drop down menus already and will have this set up so that when three items have been selected a number is generated based off of those selections. I attached a basic picture illustrating what I am going for if it helps.

Thank you for your time =)

Are you trying to look up an Account Code from a table somewhere in your spreadsheet? Or do you want to actually generate a unique code? If it's the second option, you will probably need to use VB code (it's quite doable). If it's the first option, you really need to show or better explain where your look up data is, and how it is laid out.

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)
