Display "events" on certain dates, e.g. holidays, downtimes, sick leave

    Hi everybody,

I have three sheets with data on monthly, weekly and daily basis to create diagrams.

On certain dates the diagrams should show "events". For example a change or a problem on IT side could be the reason for a decrease or increase of call volume.

An ideal solutions would contain a fourth sheet with a list of events. Probably I would need some helper tables for the monthly, weekly and daily timeline.

Does anybody have an idea how I could solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Attached you see a diagram from Adobe SiteCatalyst (web analytics) that I try to migrate to Excel. The so-called calendar events are displayed at the top:

Thank you for the effort. However a workbook would make things easier

    Hi everybody,

Just wanted to let you know that I solved the problem by using a secondary x-axis with axis labels in a column next to the data.
