Updating Chart Series After Converting to 2013 Excel

Hello,

I converted my spreadsheet from 2003 to 2013 excel version. I have some data series and graphs that reference it. I also updated charts to 2013 formats. When new data comes out, I update the graph to include new data point; however, when I do that, my Data labels disappear and default to "series 1" or "series 2". Note that data labels were not referencing a separate cell in 2003 version.

Have you seen this issue before?

I've seen some funny behavior like that. It doesn't happen with all charts, so it's hard to figure out why it happens.

It might help to recreate the charts in 2013. Keep the new ones side by side with the originals, to see if the behavior affects both versions.
