I just want to create a bar graph that display these two sets of numbers:

What do you want the chart to show exactly? Dollar value vs. number of orders? Dollar value vs. Date and number of orders vs. date? something else?
Is there a reason for repeating the date in between the number of orders and the dollar value of the orders?

It sounds like it should be as easy as adding a secondary axis to this chart. Instructions for adding a secondary axis: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...165.aspx?CTT=1
If you want both set of data as columns you need to alter your data to prevent column overlay.
You might eant to consider separating the 2 sets for each comparison.
