Different Colours on same Line Chart?

I'd like to know if it's possible to have more than one colour for the same line on a line graph

e.g Something like this

I'm not sure I understand. When I followed the "automatically vary" instructions, it changed colors for each point in my test series -- I did not have to do it automatically for each point. Did yours behave differently?

I expect if you follow the "manually" instructions, or if you decide you don't like the "automatic" results, you will need to do it individually for each point.

yes thats what it done for me too, but I want say

1-10 green
11-26 red
27-38 blue, etc

Looks like it'll take a while and i'll need to do it individually.

I think I understand better. you want certain "ranges" of data to be formatted certain colors -- not individual points.

If that is correct, I have always thought that the easiest way to get "different formatting" for different points is to arrange the data and plot each "color" as its own data series. I usually find that it is easier to figure out the spreadsheet formulas/arrangement to put each color in its own data series than it is to manually format each data point in a single series.

Spreadsheet will usually look something like:
