Ignore Blank column in source data for Column Chart.

Hello,

I'm trying to create a chart that may have blank columns in the middle of the source data. I'd like to graph the data as if these did not exist to eliminate the space in the middle. I can't seem to find a way to do this. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

Here's what I'm working on:

If your table above starts at A1, use this as your data range:

=A1:F4,H1:H4

The Source data in A1:H4 is a reference to other data, so all of the middle columns may or may not have data in them at any one time. I'd like a way to do it that doesn't require me to go and manually change the data range for the chart so it can update automatically.

I'm sorry, this one's got me stumped. I tried building a non-contiguous range as a named range, but that wouldn't work for me. I'll be watching the thread to see if anyone else has a solution, for sure.
