Excel 2013 Gantt Looks UGLY

Does anyone have any suggested eye candy configurations and placements?

The Gantt chart is for project planning and to display timelines that correspond to a work breakdown structure (Scope of Work).

I have four columns in my excel: WBS (Task No.), Task Name, Start and Duration... Very basic however the chart is nasty and doesn't seem to work. First of all I feel as though the units I'm using to measure each task is too broad (duration = days) when tasks will only need minutes to hours. I'm still tweaking this.

I'm new to the forum and don't know where to begin. If what I've described above has been covered else where or if there's a better place I can post, please help?
