Excel 2013 simple x,y plot WTF

Hey guys, why is it so complicated to create a simple plot.

Got 2 simple columns ( x = date, Y = value)

I am selecting a small part of time and trying to display the data.

but when it plots..

as if it was only selecting all the Y data but not all of X wtf....

what i missing here?

that would suggest your values are being seen as text rather than true numeric values. Excel is attempting to use all the leading text cells as series name and category labels.
