i also notice the chart has not data as the cells behind it have been deleted?
if this is what you want then you would just setup a chart to look like how you want it and delete the sheet behind it?

hey i tried setting up up chart and deleting the sheets it didnt work. For example in sheet 1 I have my data. Sheet 2 has the chart in the format i wanted. In sheet 3 have the similar graph but unable to delete the cells behind or the background. How can i make sheet 3 background look like sheet 2? I have attached the dummy excel for your reference
so you want sheet 3 graph to look like sheet 2?

Hey I understand the part where I can fix the chart but I want to know how I can disable the cells in my background?
once in a chart sheet there is no background?
or you talking about the data which populates it?
is so just delink or delete it
No the data that populates the hart is in a different sheet. But if u look at sheet 2 there is no cells behind the chart. the chart is the onlz thing on the sheet. Wanted to know how we can do that
i am still confused on what your after
on your original sheet there is no data linked to chart that is why the chart appears that way
now you are saying there is data behind the chart but you want the chart to appear that way
with the link under the section
Move a chart to another worksheet
once the chart is on its own sheet the background will be disabled there would be no cells to enter into
Thanks I got it now.
great, was starting to doubt myself there
Thanks for the rep
cheers
